Co-op (Work-Study) Program

The Co-op program allows students to combine subject-related work placements with academic study. Co-op students complete the same academic requirements as students who are not in the Co-op program and four work term placements in addition. The Co-op program takes five years to complete.

Admission to the Co-op program normally takes place after the second year of a student's program; students must have a GPA of 2.7 over the last 5 FCEs and should apply to Career Services before December 1 (for a May work term) or May 1 (for a September work term).

Students interested in Co-op should consult with an English Department advisor and with the Faculty of Arts Co-op Advisor about suitable course choices for the period before the first work term.
