ENGL 369 - Black Literatures - Winter 2025

A study of literary texts in English by authors of African descent. Topics may include any of: the Black radical tradition, autobiography, diaspora, cultural/political resistance, citizenship, justice, civil rights, freedom, emancipation, abolition, Black Lives Matter, surveillance, carceral politics, and Black flourishing within the context of slavery and its afterlives.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
