The Paget/Hoy Speakers Series was established in 1992 by Carolynn Hoy and the late J. Robert Paget. Attached to the Department of English at the University of Calgary, the series aims to enhance academic programs and the intellectual experience of students and faculty at the University of Calgary by bringing distinguished speakers to Calgary. Over the years, the Paget/Hoy Speakers Series has brought an impressive lineup to the city, including Rosemary Sullivan, Carol Shields, Jane Urquhart, Dianne Chisholm, Sid Marty, and J.
