Professional Description

Jackson's teaching ranges from introductory courses in various genres and historical periods to senior courses in the history of illness narratives and detective fiction. Other teaching interest include travel writing and the use of writing as a tool of inquiry in the classroom. Her specialization is in the representation of trauma, particularly in late 20th century British writing. Her current research project is a book on the representation of trauma in the works of Pat Barker.
