About

I am a doctoral candidate and Killam Laureate at the University of Calgary, and I specialize in creative writing within the English department. My research interests include: global citizenship and immigration, humanitarian advertising strategies, women and labour, empathy, and creative writing. This year I have the good fortune to be the Calgary coordinator for The Shoe Project, a writing program for immigrant women. I also volunteer for the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society. In my pre-academic life, I worked for organizations such as SMART Technologies and the CBC, specializing in advertising, public relations, branding and publicity.
