Barb Howe

Barb has been with the University of Calgary since 1985. Currently, she works with the Associate Head (Graduate), providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department's graduate program (Consisting of 60 - 70 graduate students annually). Barb also assists the Graduate Executive Committee, current and prospective graduate students, faculty, administration and the public by way of administrative support. Barb is responsible for all correspondence pertaining to the graduate program including facts/statistics of graduate student progress, all matters pertaining to the Graduate Executive Committee, receives all applications for the graduate program and scholarships, maintains communication with applicants advising them of the status of the completion of their application, communicates final decisions regarding their applications, sends out correspondence of offers for funding, and maintains up-to-date information on students funding throughout their program.
