Adrienne Kertzer's teaching and research interest include the representations of trauma, children's literature, Holocaust literature, and women's writing. Her book, My Mother's Voice: Children, Literature, and the Holocaust, a finalist for the Alberta Book Publishers' Scholarly Book of the Year, received the 2003 Canadian Jewish Book Award for Scholarship and the 2004 Children's Literature Association Honor Book Award. Her essay, "Fugitive Pieces: Listening as a Holocaust Survivor's Child," won the 2001 F.E.L. Priestley Prize.
